Recently, office spaces have been taking interior design to a whole new level, with refurbished historic buildings, creative modular builds, and designer furnishings. The Bark offices in Columbus, Ohio are at the top of our list of favorites: who doesn’t love having some dogs at work! In addition to the furry friends, this office space integrates lounge areas in the form of room dividers. They’re a great spot for fido to take a nap and they serve the important function of breaking up lines of sight so excitable pups can chill in peace.
Inc.com tells us why Bark’s offices are perfect for your best furry friend:
“Pet supply company Bark dubs its headquarters “the world’s most dog-friendly office,” and makes a good case for that title. About 50 canines roam the space each day. Desks are placed next to lounge seats made of wipeable fabric so dogs and humans can sit side-by-side, and an outdoor dog run offers a place to exercise.”
What could be better than entering this gorgeous space every morning? Full of rich leather, lots of natural light and beautiful greenery, you might think you’re in a boutique hotel instead of an office! With the option for private offices or open co-working spaces, it’s a treat for the eyes to be working in this space.
EastRoom in Toronto, ON is a high design space that almost doesn’t feel like an office!
“Operating out of an 1920s industrial warehouse building, East Room’s 60,000 square foot venue is neatly tucked away in Toronto’s East End. Through various programming initiatives, East Room connects work, leisure and culture to establish a dynamic community and environment. The space allows members to develop within a diverse, hand selected group rooted in various industries, providing a platform for the members-only network to collaborate, share ideas and grow alongside each other.”
Our fellow Ottawa office belongs to ecommerce giant Shopify. Their themed spaces bring a sense of wonder and excitement to the workplace! With tent-like quiet spaces and a large community kitchen, there’s a space for everything you could possible need to do at work!

Creativebloq.com tells us about Shopify’s Ottawa headquarters which are spread over six themed floors
“When ecommerce software company Shopify moved to a new headquarters in Ottawa, Canada it worked with a leading architecture firm to create an incredible design office. Each of the six floors has a different theme, including Canadiana and streetscapes, and there are plenty of nooks in which to work or put your feet up. Alongside this library on the speakeasy-themed floor, other rooms range from phone booths to Scandinavian sauna-style arenas. Employees can book them using Google Calendar, and reservations show up on iPads outside the door.”
And we couldn’t leave out our very own La Collective here in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
